Beloved Friend,
“In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:18.
We are grateful to Almighty God for this new month, August 2023. Our greatest desire is to please God, to do and live in His will. Whenever we receive all things from God with a thankful heart, we know we are fulfilling His will.
Beloved we continue to live in a difficult and challenging season, and many believers are gradually abandoning their deep love, passion, desire and zeal for Jesus Christ!
There is an outward expression of hatred for the increasing sin, evil, wickedness, heresy, blasphemy and various abominations in and outside the church. However the state and condition of the heart is rarely seen and spoken about.
Friend, this month we are reminded of the hard working enduring church in Ephesus, who hated all evil and yet their hearts had departed from Jesus. Their outward expressions as believers were impressive but God who sees their heart knew that they had abandoned their intimate love and friendship with Him.
It is my prayer that this month there will be a spiritual restoration of our love and intimacy with Jesus. This is the root from which we can obey His commandments to Seek, Save and Disciple the nations. – “Jesus replied, “Loving me empowers you to obey my word. And my Father will love you so deeply that we will come to you and make you our dwelling place.” – John 14:23 TPT.
Please spend some time to read and prayerfully meditate on the below scripture.
As you do may the good Lord, revive and increase your love, fire, passion and intimate desire for Jesus Christ.
And from this deep root of the power of the Love of Jesus, may you receive grace to overcome every challenge, stand and focus on preaching the gospel and making disciples of all nations.
“Write the following to the messenger of the congregation in Ephesus. For these are the words of the one who holds the seven stars firmly in his right hand, who walks among the seven golden lampstands:
I know all that you’ve done for me—you have worked hard and persevered. I know that you don’t tolerate evil. You have tested those who claimed to be apostles and proved they are not, for they were imposters. I also know how you have bravely endured trials and persecutions because of my name, yet you have not become discouraged. But I have this against you: you have abandoned the passionate love you had for me at the beginning. Think about how far you have fallen! Repent and do the works of love you did at first. I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place of influence if you do not repent. Although, to your credit, you despise the practices of the Nicolaitans, which I also despise. The one whose heart is open let him listen carefully to what the Spirit is saying now to all the churches. To the one who overcomes I will give access to feast on the fruit of the Tree of Life that is found in the paradise of God.” Revelation 2:1-7 TPT.
Have a blessed month.
Yours in Christ,
