Dear Friend,
Welcome to August 2021. We give God all the praise for His endless love and the mercies He has shown us. This month we will focus on building strong foundations of placing our trust in the Lord.
Trust is defined as a “firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something”.
Friend, only Christ is trustworthy. Therefore, we will put our trust in CHRIST ALONE, not in ourselves, the world’s wisdom, fame, power, money, etc. The foundations of our lives, family, church, ministry, and nations should be built on Christ alone.
“Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, let not the mighty man glory in his might, nor let the rich man glory in his riches; But let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, That I am the Lord, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these, I delight,” says the Lord” (Jer. 9:23-24).
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths” (Prov. 3:5-6).
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord” (Jer. 17:7).
The number eight signifies a new beginning. The Lord will bring you into new things in this eighth month and He is expecting you to firmly believe that you can rely on His ability and power to accomplish all the new things He has destined for you.
“Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea, and a path through the mighty waters, who brings forth the chariot and horse, The army and the power (They shall lie down together, they shall not rise; They are extinguished, they are quenched like a wick): “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness, And rivers in the desert. The beast of the field will honor Me, the jackals and the ostriches, Because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to My people, My chosen. This people I have formed for Myself; They shall declare My praise” (Isa. 43:16-21).
Often when the Lord makes a promise to us or gives us a prophecy, there is a tendency to question how this will come to pass, especially when everything in the natural is contrary to His word. Friend, one thing God cannot do is to fail, so believe in all His promises in every situation, even in those where the evidence seems to be to the contrary. This month we need to root out every trust in man, power, fame, money, and anything else that is not of Jesus.
Rise and walk in the new things God has for you this month.

Calling all parents. One of the best gifts you can give your children is to teach them to pray. To teach them how to call on God in the time of need. Even from a young age, Jesus started teaching in the synagogues. In Luke 2:41-52, we see Jesus at twelve staying behind at the temple. You may not always be there to pray for your child, teach them to build a relationship with God to be prayer warriors who will pray down the kingdom of God. Do encourage your youths over the age of twelve to join the youth prayer line. This is the season for it as the bible tells us
