July’s Ministry Letter from Rev Darlene

July’s Ministry Letter from Rev Darlene

Dear Friend,

Welcome to July.

We praise and worship our God and saviour Jesus for enabling us to live to see the month of July 2021. In July, we will focus on consistency in building our foundations.

Unlike our human nature, God is consistent, reliable, predictable, and doesn’t change in who He is and all that He possesses. God’s love, compassion, power, mercy, goodness, word, etc. never change towards us. So please take time this month to meditate on the following scriptures: Hebrew 13:8; Malachi 3:6, Romans 8:31-39, Numbers 23:19, 2 Timothy 2:13 and Isaiah 55:8-11.

God is calling us this month to be consistent and abide in Jesus so that we will build lasting and firm foundations which will yield much fruit, John 15:1-5.

To abide means to be consistent, remain, stay in position, be regular, continue, be stable, consistent in your attitude, character, and love. It means to maintain an unbroken relationship with God, speaking and doing God’s word, and all other services to God and man. Through all the good, bad, ugly, challenges, oppositions, trials, persecutions, and changing scenes and seasons of your life and ministry.

Lasting foundations like that which is only built on Jesus Christ calls for workers who are diligent, steadfast, immovable, focused, and disciplined. It also calls for workers who know how to count the cost, prioritise, and be willing to pay the price for seeking God and His kingdom first in all things. Inconsistency and misplaced priorities will lead to shaky and weak foundations Matthew 6:33, Luke 14:25-33.

‘Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord [always doing your best and doing more than is needed], being continually aware that your labor [even to the point of exhaustion] in the Lord is not futile nor wasted [it is never without purpose]. 1 Corinthians 15:58 AMP

Steadfast means a firmness of mind, purpose, standing, fixed in principle, and constant

Focused means directing a great deal of attention, interest, or activity towards a particular aim

Diligent means showing care, energetic effort, constant effort to accomplish something; attentive and persistent in doing anything)

Prioritise means treating something as very important, determine the order for dealing with (a series of items or tasks), according to their relative importance.

In month number seven, which signifies perfection and completion, don’t give up, be consistent in studying and doing the word of God, because God will perfect all that concerns you and reward your consistent labour in the work of Jesus Christ, Psalm 138:8; Galatians 6:9.
