New Year’s Charge from Rev Darlene

New Year’s Charge from Rev Darlene

Dear Beloved in Christ,

Blessed and prosperous new 2021 to you and your family.
The theme God has given to us at the Darlene Erbynn Ministries (DEM) for 2021 is “Building & Strengthening our Foundation in Christ “

1 Cor. 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. (KJV)

Psalms 11:3; If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? (KJV)

Matt. 7:24-27; Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. (KJV)

God is calling us to build permanent foundations and bear eternal fruits.
This year we will be checking the existing foundation built and rooting out anything that is not of Christ and replacing it with Christ, who is the Word.

We will be laying the foundation of Christ by living, speaking and doing the word and works of Christ in every area of our lives and ministry.

If you take away the foundations of a house it will fall down. The same is true of our lives and our countries. If we do not build them on the Word of God they will not last but turn to ashes. 1 Cor. 3:12-15.

Christ is the rock and foundation of every lasting work. Everything we do and say must be based on what Christ has done and said. Jesus said my father works and I work. I do and say what my father does and say, John 5:17, 19-20. Jesus came to earth to lay the foundation of His father’s kingdom and to build on it, everlasting fruits. You and I are part of Jesus’ fruits.

There are difficult times and seasons ahead that’s why it’s essential to build a strong foundation on the Word. Difficult times are like pressure applied to a person’s life and a weak and faulty foundation will easily crack and be destroyed with any amount of pressure.

Now is the time to grow deeper in faith and build a strong foundation that will hold you up in these challenging times. This requires diligence, tenacity and focus.  To do this, we are to spend quality time intentionally to:

Check the foundation of our marriage, family, ministry, church, finances etc. For anything that displeases God, such wrong associations, habits, old mindset, traditions, religious rituals etc., acknowledge, confess and repent and receive forgiveness. Change and improve in areas that need it. Remove anything that hinders your spiritual growth and opens the door to the enemy.

Renew your mind, fill your foundation with Christ centred people and activities that will build your relationship with Christ, support your obedience to His Word and growth in Christ.

With consistency, endurance, perseverance, persistence, form godly routines and habits which will help you to grow and mature in Christ, reading your bible & praying daily, fasting, serving others, being accountable to a trusted spiritual leader and mentor.

Finally, the bible says two are better than one (Ecc. 4:9) so I know as we stand together united in Christ Jesus in 2021 we will build a strong foundation on Christ and obedience to His Word, we will overcome all challenges ahead and bring forth precious fruits to the glory of God.

Yours in Christ,
