September 2023 DEM Ministry Letter

Dear Friend,
Welcome to the month of September 2023. You and I can bear witness that the months and years are passing quickly. It is often said by people that time ‘goes quickly when you are having fun!’

The bible tells us in Ecclesiastes 3:1, 12-13, that there is a right time for everything, and everything is appropriate in its own time. It also tells us that it is the gift of God, for a man to rejoice, to do good in their lives and to enjoy the fruits of his labours.

The believer in Christ will experience joy and fulfillment only when they are living in the centre of God’s will, according to God’s purpose, divine time and calendar.
Beloved this month as we continue our journey to seek, Save and disciple the nations, I want to remind us of the importance of having a vision.
A vision is an act of seeing; a revelation; an idea perceived in the imagination or a dream. It is also an assignment and a plan revealed in advance by God.

The bible says in Proverbs 29:18: ‘Where there is no vision (no revelation of God and His word), the people perish, but he that keepers the law, happy is he’.
Clarity and understanding of your vision is vital, that is why you need to write it down and keep referring to it. If not you will be distracted into doing many things that God has not called you to do; things for which you will receive no reward. You will also walk on the wide and broad path that leads to destruction.
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad and easy to travel is the path that leads the way to destruction and eternal loss, and there are many who enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow and difficult to travel is the path that leads the way to [everlasting] life, and there are few who find it.” Matthew 7:13-14.
Writing down your vision will keep you focused and direct all your actions.
“Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry (Habakkuk 2:2-3).
Beloved, Jesus’ vision was to preach and demonstrate the gospel of the kingdom of God, to redeem, save and restore mankind back to God. Jesus’ vision on earth directed all His actions. Mark 1:38-39, Luke 4:43, 19:10; Matthew 4:17, 23, 9:35; John 6:37-40; 1 John 3:8.
Always remember that the vision of every born again child of God should be found in the great commission of Jesus Christ our Lord and saviour. Matthew 28:19-20, 24:14; Mark 16:15-20; Luke 19:10.
As followers of Jesus Christ may we have a renewed vision in this month of September and also receive strength and grace to seek, save and disciple the nations.
Have a blessed and a fruitful month
Yours in Christ,
