Dear Friend,
Welcome to September 2022. I declare that this month despite the ongoing challenges, trials and persecution in our world, God will give you many reasons to rejoice in Christ.
On our journey to seek, save and disciple the nations, our focus this month is on rejoicing over the seeds we sow and the harvest we reap.
The direct words of Jesus remind us that the harvest is ripe and ready for harvesting! Often times some are discouraged when they sow, but do not reap the harvest of souls where they have sown. However, Jesus tells us in John 4:35-38, that both the sower and the reaper has to rejoice, because you will reap where others have laboured and sown!
“Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. For in this the saying is true: ‘One sows and another reaps.’ I sent you to reap that for which you have not laboured; others have laboured, and you have entered into their labours.”John 4:35-38.
Friend, when you decide to continually sow the word of God into people’s lives, you will never lose your reward from God.
“Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, Bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves with him”. Psalm 126:5-6.
Beloved, be encouraged because you are guaranteed that once the word of God goes forth into the lives of others, it will never return to Him void of yielding a harvest. In seeking, saving and discipling the nations, make a conscious effort to rejoice always, over your seeds sown and harvest reaped.
‘“For you shall go out with joy, And be led out with peace; The mountains and the hills Shall break forth into singing before you, And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.’’ Isaiah 55:12.
“Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!” Philippians 4:4.
