Dear Friend,
A glorious and blessed new year to you, I pray that this year you will experience all that God has planned and destined for you.
The Bible says in Jeremiah 29:11-13: ”For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.“
Often it’s the custom of many people to seek God with fasting and prayer at the beginning of each new year. As you do so this year, I want to remind you that God already has a detailed written plan for you and He wants you to discover these plans for your life this year so you can fulfill them. God has numerous precious plans written in the book of your life, as stated in Psalms 139:16-18: ”Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book, they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; When I awake, I am still with You.“
As stated in Isaiah 46:10: I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’, I declare that the counsel of the Lord concerning every area of your life: family, ministry, and finances will stand and God will do all that He has planned and purposed for you.
This is the third year of our decade of winning and discipling the nations. Beloved, as highlighted in Luke 2:41-50, Jesus’ parents found him sitting in the synagogue listening to the teachings and asking questions. When his parents questioned why he had left them, staying behind in Jerusalem in the temple, Jesus replied: ”Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?” (verse 49). From Jesus’ response, it was evident that he knew the plan and purpose for his life: to do the Father’s business. In verse 50, the Bible states that the parents did not understand this very response Jesus gave: ‘But they did not understand the statement which He spoke to them.’ I pray that the Lord will grant you understanding and give you strategies to do the Father’s business of seeking, saving, and discipling the nations (all ethnic groups).
