Dear Friend,
Welcome to the month of July 2024. Let’s thank and give God praise for His faithfulness towards us for the past six months of this year. We are confident that God will continue to keep us in Christ, He will be with us, and also perfect that which concerns us this month.
The Bible says “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” Matthew 24:14 King James Version (KJV)
At times some believers have become complacent and state that they have reached every soul in their town, city and village, hence all they need to do now is wait for the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ!
This self-satisfied attitude has its roots in ignorance of the fact that there are about 195 nations in the world. Of course many people have not yet heard the gospel of the kingdom!
This month just like Apostle Paul, we will by the grace and strength of Jesus Christ overcome complacency in evangelising and disciplining the nations.
“Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus”. Phil. 3:13-14.
Beloved the word of God warns us against complacency.
“For the turning away of the simple will slay them, And the complacency of fools will destroy them;” Prov. 1:32.
“Woe to you who are at ease in Zion, And trust in Mount Samaria, Notable persons in the chief nation, To whom the house of Israel comes! Amos 6:1.
“I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither [a]cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be [c]zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” Rev. 3:15-22.
By the grace and mercies of God we will rise up and overcome the spirit of complacency.
May the Lord anoint and open our eyes to have a fresh vision of the abundant harvest of souls that is ready to hear the gospel and be reaped for God’s kingdom.
May we receive new strength and great grace as we press towards our goal to seek, save and disciple the nations.
Have a blessed and a fruitful month.
Yours in Christ
1 Corinthians 16:2(ESV)
On the first day of every week, each of you is to put something aside and store it up, as he may prosper, so that there will be no collecting when I come.
Dear friend, would you prayerfully consider putting something aside via monthly giving towards our upcoming missions which includes compassionate outreaches in both Ghana and the Caribbean? God bless you as you do. Our bank details are in the banner above.
