Dearest believer in Christ,
Welcome to February 2023. We give God the highest praise and worship for His faithfulness and goodness to us last month.
Many people look forward to February because of the celebration of love on Valentine’s Day. Our Focus this month will be on the relentless and unending love of God that caused Him to sacrifice His only son Jesus Christ, to redeem and restore mankind and regenerate the earth back to Himself
1 Corinthians 13:13 “Now these three remain faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
Beloved be reminded that the greatest love we can demonstrate to others is to preach and demonstrate the gospel of the kingdom of God to them.
Matthew 25:35 & 40 (NKJV) for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
Determine to demonstrate the love of Christ this month by specifically preaching the gospel, interceding, and practically giving to meet the needs of the poor, needy, and hurting people.
James 2:14-17 “What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.”
May all your prayers, giving and preaching of the gospel draw many people from all nations to Christ and also strengthen the faith of believers across the nations.
In the Year 2023 God has given us a mandate to be about the Father’s Business. We are to make God’s business our FIRST PRIORITY. Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God… What is the agenda of God in this end times? It is the same as Jesus’s agenda when He was on earth…. Luke 19:10 “The Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost”
THE SALVATION OF SOULS IS GOD’S FIRST PRIORITY. He wants you to make HIS BUSINESS OF SOUL WINNING YOUR PRIORITY what could that look like?
Prayerfully have a SALVATION LIST. Write down those who you have committed to praying into salvation. Set aside time to faithfully pray for them mentioning each one by name, weekly or daily.
PRAYER ONE
Pray that they would come to Christ. If unbelievers are to come to salvation, there is just one way. They must come through Christ and Christ alone. “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me’” (John 14:6).
PRAYER TWO
Pray that God would free them from the slavery of sin. Unbelievers may believe they are free, but they are in fact enslaved. They are slaves of sin, bound by their sin and sinfulness. Pray that God would liberate them by his gospel. “But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed” (Romans 6:17).
PRAYER THREE
Pray that God would remove Satan’s blinding influence . Unbelievers have been blinded by Satan and will only ever be able to see and appreciate the gospel if God works within them. So pray that God would give them sight—spiritual sight. “In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God” (2 Corinthians 4:4).
PRAYER FOUR
Pray for opportunities to minister to them. Many people come to faith after seeing Christ’s loved displayed through the ministry of Christians. Pray for a chance to influence them for Christ. Pray for opportunities to minister to unbelievers so that your ministry can have an evangelistic effect. Pray that God will also use other believers to minister to them “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).
-FINALLY- REFLECT ON YOUR DAY – HAVE YOU GIVEN SPECIFIC TIME TO EVANGELISE?
-PRAYERFULLY CONSIDER AND ASK THE HOLY SPIRIT HOW TO INCORPORATE EVANGELISM INTO YOUR DAY- YOUR COMMUTE, SUPERMARKET, SCHOOL RUN, GYM. ASK HIM TO LEAD YOU TO SOULS.
-COMMIT TO SHARING THE GOSPEL AT LEAST ONCE A DAY OR WEEK WITH SOMEONE. SET YOURSELF A TARGET AND ASK FOR THE HELP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN MEETING IT.
Finally there are eternal blessings linked to doing the Father’s business. He promises to provide for all of our needs. Matthew 6:33 promises that all your needs both physical and otherwise will be met.
