Dear Friend,
Welcome to the month of May. Let’s give Jesus the highest praise for His goodness and mercy towards us. Hallelujah! God’s steadfast love and faithfulness will keep us strong and victorious throughout this month and beyond.
During May, we will be celebrating the feast of Pentecost, also known as the feast of Harvest. Pentecost was the church’s birthday, when the church was first filled with the power of the Holy Spirit to reach out to every tribe, people, and nation.
“When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance”. Acts 2:1-4.
“And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.” Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles.” Acts 2:40-43.
Beloved, Jesus was sown as a seed for the redemption and salvation of mankind, and from the day of Pentecost the disciples began to reap a harvest of souls. Christ has paid for it all, so let’s go forth this month to harvest the fruit of the seed sown by Jesus Christ.
“But Jesus answered them, saying, “The hour has come that the Son of Man should be glorified. Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.” John 12:23-24.
“And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.” John 12:32.
“And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. For in this the saying is true: ‘One sows and another reaps.’ I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors.” John 4:36-38.
“And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever”. John 14:16.
Receive a fresh outpouring, strength, power and infilling of the Holy Spirit. May the joy of seeking, saving and discipling the nations fill and flood your heart this month.
Yours in Christ,
