Dearest Friend,
Welcome to the 10th month of the year, October 2021.
This month our focus is on building and strengthening our foundation with a lifestyle of prayer.
Prayer demonstrates our confidence, faith, hope, trust, and total dependence on God.
The bible says in John 15:5 ‘I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.’
This month we are reminded that we need to abide in Christ through unceasing communion and communication with Him in prayer.
We need to acknowledge our dependence on Christ and seek His direction and counsel on everything.
We are to press through in the Spirit in our prayers until we receive the manifestation of the answer, as in Matthew 7:7-8.
“Ask and keep on asking, and it shall be given you”
“Seek and keep on seeking, and you shall find”
“Knock and keep on knocking, and the door shall be opened to you”.
Friend, our relationship with God is vital for an effective prayer life. God is calling us to totally yield, be focused, give ourselves, our full attention, and be desperate for communion with Him. God is calling us to Pray from a position of an intimate personal relationship, fellowship, and communion with God. We can then draw our strength from Christ through our communion with Him in prayer.
It is vital to spend more time waiting before God to hear His voice and to allow the revealed word to take root in you and remain in you. When the word remains in you, then you will speak and pray according to the revealed word of God instead of your natural understanding, and as a result, you will receive a harvest of answered prayers – John 15:7.
Friend, Jesus is expecting to come again and meet a church that demonstrates faith, through persevering, persistent, continuous, tenacious, and consistent prayers- Luke 18:1-8.
